Collaborative Works

Here's sampling of Kristen's handmade glass beads in wearable art pieces with jewelry and metals techniques by other artists:

"Midnight Tree" is a pendant that Gail Rappa created with a glass element by Kristen Frantzen Orr. The finished piece uses bone, sterling silver and iolite to create a disctinctive setting for the glass.  Several pieces from this series are featured in the book Art Jewelry Today 3.  photo by David Orr

"Connections" necklace by Kristen Frantzen Orr and Jelveh Jaferian includes a special set of flameworked glass beads that both artists worked on.  Kristen made her signature floral beads and sent them through the mail  to Jelveh who added her zen doodle patterns.  Kristen strung the piece with vintage carved shell beads.

An elaborate beadwork design by Maggie Roschyk features a focal bead by Kristen.  This piece was on the cover of Bead and Button magazine.
